Dare I say I had something to say?
But it slipped so far, so very far away.
So far, they say, so very far you have gone.
The broken slurs, the slips of misery.
Do you love it? asked Compassion. The brokenness?
Justice turned its back on you, and it faded into the gray.
It could not handle you anymore.
It did not want to.
So far, so very far you have gone.
Your humanity is made of tears, fears, and deafened ears.
Do you dare to dream? asked Compassion. Dream of more?
The response was silence.
The dreams were too consumed by tears, fears, and deafened ears.
So far, so very far you have gone.
But there is still time! screamed Compassion. Come back to me.
The tears, fears, and deafened ears paused.
Come back to me, my love! begged Compassion. Come back.
The tears, fears, and deafened ears asked how?
How do we come back?
Compassion replied, by choosing me.
